Abbreviated and Adapted - Reflections 9-3-19

 These are the bumper sticker/t-shirt versions of the practical advice for disciples from
Hebrews 13:1-8, 15-16

I feel like I don't have much to add to last Sunday's second lesson. 
Just let them pour over you.
Let them fill you.
Let them guide you.

• Let mutual love continue. 
• Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers for by doing so, some have entertained angels without knowing it.
• Don't forget those in prison. 
• Don't forget those who are being tortured. 
• Honor relationships bound by mutual promise.
• Keep your lives free from the love of money.
• Remember what you have learned about Jesus.
• Praise God.
• Don't forget to do good and share what you have.(how much more basic can it get?)

Imagine how inviting and welcoming the Church would be if such humility and mutual love would continue among us!

Holy God, you have invited us to be your followers in the world. Help us to share humility, hospitality, and love. Amen
