Life and death stand side by side as we enter into Good Friday.
In our noon service today, we will hear John’s Gospel’s passion account, where Jesus reveals the power and glory of God, even as he is put on trial and sentenced to death. Then, in the petitions of the ancient “bidding prayer,” from near the cross we will pray that the whole world might come know the fullness of the gifts Christ’s death offers to all.
