Maundy Thursday Bulletin

“Maundy” is from an Old English word meaning “commandment.”  Today is so named because it was on “this night in which he was betrayed” that Jesus, after washing his disciples’ feet, gave them “a new commandment – to love one another as I have loved you.”  It was on this same night that he shared wine and bread with his disciples, saying they were his body and blood given for the forgiveness of sins.  And then another new commandment: “do this for the remembrance of me.”

Maundy Thursday Worship will be livestreamed at Gloria Dei at 7:00 p.m.
