Stewardship 2021

Dear Fellow Members of Gloria Dei:

This year has been challenging in so many ways that it is impossible to name them all. Fortunately, with the use of creative minds and electronic media, we have been able to worship “together,” have meetings “together,” (Zoom-Zoom!), and communicate in a variety of ways. Even though we are separated, we are still connected.

But I, like so many others, miss the face to face, the handshakes and hugs, the joy of worshipping in our sanctuary, the music, and on and on. However, I do know that we, as a faith-filled congregation, will make it through this together, everyone doing their part in a variety of different ways. And isn’t that what stewardship is all about; sharing our special gifts to help each other and taking care of what we cherish? Our congregation is truly a family; we are sisters and brothers in Jesus Christ.

The past few Sundays during our online worship services, some of our members have shared their answers to three questions:

  1. What are you looking forward to when we can gather again in person?
  2. What does stewardship mean to you?
  3. What has church and faith meant to you during this time of COVID?
I am sure that we all have our own answers to these questions, but I also believe that we all understand why the ongoing mission of our Gloria Dei congregation is so vital to us and to those around us.

Please give prayerful consideration to how you can joyfully support our congregation’s ministries, not only with your financial offerings but also with the gift of your unique talents and time. I've included access to the Time & Talent (Spiritual Gifts) and the 2021 pledge forms, To complete these forms online, click the buttons below. Please remember each member of your household must complete their own spritual gifts form.

“Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received.” 1 Peter 4:10

 Thanks be to God!
