Mission Endowment- Your Gifts that Bless

Your Gifts to the Mission Endowment Fund

Expand Gloria Dei's Ability to be a Blessing in God's World

Gifts to this fund provide financial support to faithful and creative mission and ministry opportunities that are not financially supported by Gloria Dei’s Annual Budget. Because only interest from the fund is disbursed, any gift to the fund you make will be a legacy gift that keeps on giving indefinitely. While some chose to make a monthly donation to the fund in addition to their budgetary commitments, we also invite Gloria Dei members and friends to consider an estate gift to the fund. There are varieties of ways to do that, including Will Bequests, listing Gloria Dei’s Mission Endowment Fund as a life insurance beneficiary, or setting up a Charitable Remainder Trust. Others have chosen to contribute to the fund with gifts of real estate or securities. Which of those options might be right for you, of course, depends on your specific situation. Contact the church office if you’d like more information.

You can view and download a copy of the Mission Endowment grant request form by clicking here. The Committee generally receives grant applications twice a year in the spring and fall. Contact the church office for specific dates this year.

Financial support for all seminarians is key to making a 'yes' to God's call possible.  For those closer to traditional retirement, financial support for seminary means being financially responsible to children still at hoem and our continuing aging selves.  I could not have in any way continue my 'yes' to God's call without the support i recieved from Gloria Dei, Luther Seminary, and other giving individuals.  thank you for beign part of my 'yes'!"

-Jennifer Ohman-Rodriguez

"Through the generosity of others, including a gift from Gloria Dei’s Mission Endowment Fund, I was able to complete my seminary training debt-free. It is truly amazing what generous people can do with they work together.”

-Pastor Brian Middleswarth

Your gifts keep on giving

Since the cash amount of actual gifts remains intact and a percentage of earnings generated by the gifts is disbursed, contributions to the Mission Endowment Fund provide long-term financial stability to the work of Christ at Gloria Dei and in the world.

“A Gloria Dei mission endowment gift allowed us to meet our goal of raising $10,000 to place 125 desks in an Ethiopian classroom. Thankfully, those desks were delivered on Valentine’s Day 2017!”
