I'm on vacation this Sunday, July 25. Enjoy the texts without me.
The Gospel this week is the story of Jesus feeding a large crowd with the food of a boy in the crowd. That meant all those people were fed with 5 barley loaves and 2 fish. And had leftovers.
The second lesson continues in Ephesians. The author continues to praise God and bless the Ephesian church. He prays that God will dwell in their hearts as they are rooted and grounded in love.
The prophet Elisha feeds a 100 people with 20 loaves of barley loaves. And had leftovers.
The eyes of all wait upon the Lord who gives them food in due season.
