Easter Weekend and Covid 2022

Dear Friends in Christ,

As we so look forward to worshiping together today and on Easter Sunday, we want you to know that in the last week a number of members of our congregation have contracted Covid and are isolating at home. In all cases that we know of, those affected have been vaccinated and boosted and so symptoms have been mild.

In light of that, we are encouraging (though not requiring) that masks be worn in the building this weekend. This is particularly true if you are in close proximity to young children. We also ask that you worship online rather than in person if you are experiencing any symptoms.

The following adjustments have been for our Easter brunch plans:

  • Wearing a mask while standing in line is strongly encouraged.
  • For distancing purposes, seating will also be available in LCM and in Sunday School rooms.
  • Take-out containers will be available for those who might prefer that.
A reminder that the two most important things regarding defense against Covid remain (1) vaccinations and (2) building ventilation. We believe we are a very highly-vaccinated community, and we know that our building’s ventilation meets very high standards.

Bearing all of this in mind, and keeping one another in prayer, we trust that all will make their weekend decisions based on what is best for themselves and our congregation.

Grace and peace be with you,

Pastor Roger and Deacon Pam
