DVIP




We receive lots of questions about how to value donated gifts like clothing and household supplies. DVIP, as a non-profit, can’t give you a value for items donated, but we’ve attached some general guidelines and suggestions we have gathered from the Internal Revenue Service and other non-profit organizations.

To Drop off DVIP Donations at Gloria Dei:
Donations are accepted 
Monday through Thursday
between 9 am and 4 pm.
Please use the front entrance on Market Street,
and place all donations in the provided closet on your left as you come into the building.
Please do not leave items outside the doors of the church when we are closed.
While donations to the Domestic Violence Intervention Program are appreciated, 
DVIP cannot accept the following items:
Cribs
Furniture
Televisions 
Out-of-season clothes 
Out-of-date Car Seats
Paint or toxic products
Products which have been opened

If you have any of these items to donate, please do NOT drop them at the DVIP Donation site at Gloria Dei. Consider other donation sites such as Goodwill, Crowded Closet, ReStore or the Iowa City Landfill and Recycling Center, checking their policies.
